The Next Fifteen Years - A Message from the Incoming CEO

I've spent most of my career walking into companies right as they're about to get bigger. Yesler, when it was a scrappy Seattle shop years before it became the world's largest independent B2B marketing agency. Accenture's SMB practice, when it was still closer to a thesis than a P&L. There's a specific moment in a company's life when what got it here — the relationships, the craft, the reputation — is real and proven, and the real challenge from here is taking that great work and scaling it without sacrificing what our clients came to us for in the first place. That's exactly the moment I'm walking into at Mighty, and it's exactly the kind of problem I've spent twenty-five years learning to solve.

Before anything else: thank you to John Moffitt, Pauls Zommers, and Scott Finley. Fifteen years ago, the three of you built something most production companies never manage — real, repeat trust with some of the highest-stakes clients in enterprise tech, earned project after project. Everything I'm inheriting exists because of the standard you set and the relationships you built to prove it. I'm not here to replace that. I'm here to make sure it holds at a scale none of us could reach alone.

To every producer, editor, technical director, interpreter, and crew member who has ever shown up before sunrise to load in a truck, or stayed past midnight to make a client's deadline: I know the work, even if you and I haven't met yet. I know it because I've spent my career sitting across the table from the people who commission this kind of work, and I know the difference between a team that fills a calendar and one that actually earns an audience's attention. Mighty is the second kind, and that is rarer than it sounds. In my first weeks, I intend to spend as much time on set and in the edit bay as I do in any conference room. I'd rather learn Mighty from the people doing the work than from a deck about it.

Here's what I see, and what I intend to protect while we build on it. Mighty runs five services — Live, Content, Accessibility, Staffing, and Tech — on one production standard, not five separate shops that happen to share a name. That structural breadth is worth more now than it's ever been, because the market is being flooded with content that reaches people and moves almost no one.

Our job was never to fill a calendar. It's to build work that makes someone act — buy, renew, stay, decide.

That standard doesn't change with the size of the client, and it isn't going to change with the size of the company, either.

To the clients and partners who already trust Mighty with the moments that matter most to your business: that trust is the reason this company exists, and it's the first thing I intend to earn again, not simply inherit. And to everyone else competing for that same trust — the other production companies, the agencies, the platforms betting that craft doesn't scale: fifteen years of proof is where we're starting from, not where we plan to stop. We are not interested in watching the future arrive, we are the protagonists in this story not the audience.

I'm looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can over the next few weeks — I am so excited about the future we are going to forge together.
