The Hire Is Made. Now What?

You need another person on your team. What you probably don't need is another employee to recruit, onboard, administer, and manage behind the scenes. That's where Mighty Staffing gets a little interesting.

When you hire through Mighty, the person joining your team is a Mighty employee. We handle the employer side of the relationship while they become embedded in your team and focused on the work you hired them to do. So, once you've found the right person and the hire is made, what actually happens next?

Getting Ready for Day One

There's quite a bit that happens between "you're hired" and someone's first day. Depending on the role, that can mean background checks, paperwork, required training, equipment, system access and all the other little details that need to be sorted out before someone can actually get to work.

Mighty coordinates that side of onboarding. Once they're ready to go, your team can focus on the part only you can provide - introducing them to the people they'll work with, getting them familiar with your processes and bringing them into the actual work.

We handle our side, and you bring them into yours.

Becoming Part of Your Team

This is where the Mighty Staffing model is a little different from what people might picture when they hear "staffing." These aren't shared resources bouncing between companies or people who always feel slightly outside of the team.

They're embedded with you. They're in the meetings, learning your processes, working alongside your people, and contributing to the day-to-day work. Over time, they become another person your team knows and relies on.

The difference is that they're still employed by Mighty. While you determine work priorities and day-to-day assignments, we continue handling the responsibilities that come with being their employer. ‍

What Stays With Mighty?

Quite a bit, actually. Time off, employee questions, formal performance reviews, compensation conversations and other employment-related needs stay with Mighty throughout the employee's time with your team.

That doesn't mean every piece of feedback has to come through us. If someone needs to adjust a deliverable, follow a different process or approach something differently next time, those conversations can happen exactly where you'd expect them to - within the team.

If something becomes a larger performance or employment issue, that's when Mighty gets involved. We work with the client and employee on what needs to happen next, whether that's additional support, a formal performance process or, when necessary, offboarding.

The point is that you're not suddenly responsible for figuring out the HR side of a situation just because that person works alongside your team every day.

The Best of Both Worlds

At the end of the day, you probably came to Mighty Staffing because you needed someone with a particular set of skills. Maybe that's a producer, editor, designer, project manager or another specialized role your team needs to keep the work moving.

Our model lets that person become a real part of your team without requiring you to take on everything that normally comes with adding another employee to your organization. Mighty remains their employer, continues supporting them behind the scenes and handles the administrative side of that relationship throughout their time with you.

You needed another great person on your team. We think adding one should make your workload easier, not create a whole new one.
