Rachael finds her road trips through mountains are the funniest because they are hill areas.

Born and raised in Washington, Rachael took a detour through Manhattan to graduate from New York University before returning to her roots in the Seattle area. During her years of bicoastal living, she worked at Seattle’s NBC affiliate, KING 5, and at CBS News headquarters in New York–where she unabashedly wore her Seattle Mariners cap in Yankee territory and lived to tell the tale.

One of her favorite parts of being a citizen of the production world is the wide range of people she has been able to meet and chat with, from crew to fellow producers to talent. She loves hearing the behind the scenes tales before the story unfolds in front of the camera and appreciates that it’s a field where you can continue to learn from everyone you meet.

When she’s not working, you might find Rachael in a National Park in an effort to check off a bucket list item of seeing every park in the United States, playing video games, embracing her inner grandma via cross-stitching and baking or probably overwatering her houseplants.
