JOB TITLE: Facilities Manager

REPORTS TO: Program Manager - Staffing

FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt, Salaried

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and safety of our video production studio. This position ensures the building, studios, and common areas are fully functional, well-maintained, and ready to support creative production activity. This is an on-site position requiring daily presence to manage vendors, monitor building systems, and respond to facility needs in real time.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Daily management and support of Office Manager / Front Desk Coordinator

    • Execute performance conversations

    • Deliver regular feedback based on performance

    • Conduct annual performance review

    • Conduct regular check-ins

    • Deliver necessary feedback (client, stakeholders, partners, etc.) to Office Manager / Front Desk Coordinator. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all studio facilities, office areas, and production spaces.

  • Manage building systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and security.

  • Coordinate and supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.

  • Oversee shipping and receiving of freight, including coordination of deliveries, loading dock access, and secure storage of incoming materials.

  • Reserve and coordinate heavy equipment (such as forklifts, lifts, and rigging gear) for installation and movement of scenic and production equipment.

  • Oversee transportation of studio-owned equipment to and from off-site production locations, including scheduling pickups and returns, and ensuring proper handling and documentation.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.

  • Support studio operations by ensuring production spaces are safe, organized, and compliant with building and safety codes.

  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and service requests.

  • Oversee inventory of tools, equipment, and facility supplies.

  • Partner with IT and production teams to support infrastructure needs (e.g., power, connectivity, studio setup).

  • Assist with managing and maintaining parking spaces for employees and guests

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance facility efficiency and sustainability.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, contractors, and leadership.

  • Proficiency with facilities management software, spreadsheets, and work order systems.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

  • Ability to work on-site full-time (this is not a remote or hybrid position)

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or related field — preferably in media, production, or creative environments.

  • Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and vendor management.

  • Experience managing shipping, freight, and transportation logistics for equipment or production materials.

  • Experience managing budgets and tracking operational costs.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities under time-sensitive conditions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform light physical work as needed.

Work Environment:

  • This role routinely requires using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers

  • This position may require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Must be able to operate various electronic devices

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, in-person position at our video production studio near Novelty Hill in Redmond, WA. The role involves working in both office and studio settings. The studio generally operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the days and hours of this position may vary week-to-week and require occasional work during off-hours or weekends to support production schedules, shipments, or emergency maintenance.

  • Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $100,000-$130,000 annually. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
