JOB TITLE: Senior Technical Producer
REPORTS TO: Head of Production
FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Salaried
Job Summary:
We are seeking a SENIOR TECHNICAL PRODUCER to join our high performing production team. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in live broadcast workflows, multicamera event production, and cross-functional team leadership. The Senior Technical Producer is responsible for building and leading Mighty’s multicamera service offering, delivering turnkey technical solutions for productions ranging from elevated meeting records to large-scale live events. This role combines hands-on engineering with leadership in design, vendor management, and process development. The Senior Technical Producer will collaborate closely with Executive Producers, Project Leads, and the Head of Production to scope, design, and execute reliable multicamera solutions that scale to meet client budgets and creative goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Initial direct reports TBD, with scope to expand as department grows.
Essential Functions:
Provide end-to-end technical leadership for multicamera productions, ensuring reliable outcomes scaled to client needs.
Partner with Mighty Executive Producers and project leads to create broadcast quality productions.
Collaborate closely with scenic, lighting, content, video facilities and creative teams to align all elements of the production into a unified, technically sound execution plan.
Design and oversee the technical blueprint for large-scale live and broadcast events, including multicamera setups, switching systems, routing, recording, and streaming infrastructure.
Serve as the senior technical liaison to client stakeholders, guiding them through creative possibilities, technical options, and production realities.
Ensure Mighty-owned equipment, fly packs, and systems are properly integrated, maintained, and deployed for productions.
Act as the senior technical authority onsite during show builds, rehearsals, and live execution, making real-time decisions to maintain quality and mitigate risk.
Develop and maintain technical documentation: block diagrams, signal paths, rack elevations, ground plans, cable schedules, and show books.
Oversee integration of vendor-provided audio systems (MADI/Dante) into broadcast plans.
Oversees freelance and vendor network of TDs, Engineers, Camera Ops, Shaders, PTZ Operators, and Utilities.
Serve as primary decision-maker for service offerings, equipment standards, vendor selection, and crew assignments, in collaboration with the Head of Production, Executive Producers, and CFO.
Evaluate and implement new technologies to keep productions cutting-edge. Ensure all systems meet the highest standards of reliability and broadcast quality.
Stay current with broadcast standards and protocols.
Provide technical expertise to support creative concepts, integrating scenic, lighting, and media workflows into reliable live broadcast environments.
Support production team with the reservation and checkout process for production equipment, and proactively flagging maintenance issues or upgrade recommendations to keep the gear production-ready.
Required Skills/Abilities
Expert knowledge of digital cinema cameras, production switchers, routers, graphics/CG systems, prompters, media servers, intercom/comm systems, and transmission/streaming platforms.
Proficiency in a wide range of technical standards and workflows such as SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, SRT, MADI, Dante, AES67, NMOS, and RIST.
Strong understanding of broadcast, multicamera, and hybrid/remote production workflows.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex productions from concept through execution.
Strong collaborative skills, with ability to partner with Producers, EPs, and technical crew.
Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation (signal paths, block diagrams, rack elevations, etc.).
Skilled in troubleshooting under pressure in live broadcast environments.
Experience
8+ years of experience in high-end live broadcast or live event production, with a strong portfolio of large-scale, multicamera projects.
Expert knowledge of video systems, production switchers, routing, transmission/streaming platforms, and intercom/comm systems.
Proven experience leading productions across a wide range of complexity, from streamlined corporate town halls to large-scale, high-stakes multi-camera broadcasts, with a clear understanding of how creative goals and technical execution align.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills; confident working with C-level clients, technical vendors, and creative teams.
Strong understanding of scenic, lighting, and creative workflows and how they integrate into a live broadcast environment.
The ability to travel and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and extended show days.
Working knowledge of CAD, Visio, and other production planning tools.
Familiarity with virtual/hybrid event platforms and remote production workflows
Experience with virtual production
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time in-office role. The office generally operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mighty Media’s workplace policies are subject to change at any time based on business necessity and manager discretion.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $93,000-$105,000 annually. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
