JOB TITLE: Motion Graphics Artist
REPORTS TO: Program Manager - Satellite
FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for creating eye-catching motion graphics for event coverage and surrounding content for web, earned media, and social media.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None at this time

Essential Functions:

  • Motion graphics artist for primarily 2D visuals such as lower thirds, intro sequences, and animation. 3D experience a plus.

  • A knack for experimentation and eye-catching visuals made for trend-setting audiences

  • Fast and efficient guidance on design to ensure best possible assets and consistency of visual identity and brand guidelines

  • Complete assignments in a timely manner with a constant awareness of review cycles

  • Work closely with directors, editors, and designers in a collaborative and efficient manner to consistently deliver high quality work to clients

  • Analyze timelines, set accurate estimates for delivery expectations and effectively inform applicable stakeholders via status updates; and

  • Independently manage priorities and workload to meet all schedules and deadlines.

 Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Take the initiative to stay current regarding trends (both creative and tech) to help ensure the company remains competitive.

  • While motion graphics is the primary function, all other creative skills are seen as relevant. Design, video editing, and still photography in particular are a bonus.

 Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven motion graphics work that aligns with brand guidelines while remaining trendy (REEL REQUIRED)

  • Strong project management, communication skills, attention to detail, and professionalism;

  • Microsoft Office-proficient;

  • Able to self-manage and determine timelines and deliverables;

  • Ability to multi-task and communicate well; and

  • Ability to take client feedback gracefully and incorporate it into revisions.

 Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years as a motion graphics artist in a corporate, social, or other professional environment. A strong, eye-catching reel is more important than previous experience.

  • Professional experience with Adobe CC.

  • Strong knowledge of social and social trends is a HUGE plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Work Environment:

  • This role routinely requires using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.

  • This position may require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Must be able to operate various electronic devices.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This role is designated as Remote. Remote is defined as doing 100% of your work in a remote location within Arizona, California, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Washington. You are not required to be in office / on-site, and no on-site space is or will be reserved or available for you on a permanent basis at Mighty Media’s offices. The office generally operates from 9am-5pm, though the team maintains shared meeting hours of 9am-2pm Pacific Time. A willingness to work varying schedules including weekends, nights, holidays, long shifts (10+ hours), and/or travel as needed is required for productions. Days and hours of this position may vary week-to-week based on project needs. Mighty Media’s workplace policies are subject to change at any time based on business necessity and manager discretion.

  • The pay range for this role is $30.00 - $34.50. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
