JOB TITLE: Live Event & Broadcast Producer
REPORTS TO: Program Manager - Satellite
FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt, Salaried
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Live Event & Broadcast Producer with extensive experience leading multi-camera, live action, hybrid, and virtual productions. This role requires someone who can take complex projects from concept through delivery, managing budgets, teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners to deliver broadcast-quality, on-brand experiences that engage audiences in the room and around the world.
This is not an entry-level position. The right candidate has a proven track record as a lead producer for high-visibility events and live broadcasts, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and balances creative vision with operational excellence.
Essential Functions:
Event & Broadcast Production
Produce a wide range of live event projects, including global broadcasts, town halls, meetings, conferences, fireside chats, and workshops.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, guiding stakeholders, content partners, and technical teams.
Lead projects from creative development through final delivery, ensuring milestones, run-of-show, and deliverables are met.
Partner with technical crews, streaming engineers, AV vendors, and creative teams to execute high-quality productions.
Work directly with other Producers, Postproduction, Account Management, Head of Production, and Director of Production to ensure all production and company rights, releases, policies and guidelines are followed.
Drive end-to-end production strategy, from pre-production planning, onsite execution, through post-production and evaluation.
Follow and implement brand guidelines and best practices on every project.
Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, balancing shifting deadlines with clarity and positivity.
Manage organizational and logistical tasks for assigned projects including budget creation, production schedules, rehearsal schedules, crew assembly, travel arrangements, call sheets, run of show generation, asset management, managing talent, technical crew supervision, control room oversight, gear rentals, set design, logistics, and vendor relationships.
Actively participate in Staff, Team, Project and Postproduction meetings weekly as required.
Ensure creative and production milestones are met across the lifecycle of every project.
Lead post-project reviews and archive assets for future reference.
Budgeting & Vendor Oversight
Build, track, and reconcile production budgets of varying scope and scale.
Review and approve vendor invoices in a timely manner.
Manage strategic vendor partnerships while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and values.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Introduce and leverage AI and new technologies to streamline workflows and enhance audience engagement.
Stay ahead of industry trends in live events, broadcast production, and virtual/hybrid event delivery.
Identify risks early, develop creative solutions, and adapt with agility in high-pressure situations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and complex projects.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills; ability to present to and influence senior stakeholders.
Deep technical knowledge of event and broadcast production technologies.
Proficiency with production management tools (ShoFlo, Air Table, Frame.io, MS Office, Google Suite; Stream Yard preferred).
Familiarity with AI tools for production planning, script development, or audience engagement; ability to integrate emerging technologies into workflows
Ability to navigate ambiguity, problem-solve, and deliver under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in film/television, Event Production, or equivalent practical experience.
5-6+ years of professional experience in developing and executing live event and broadcast productions as a lead producer for a variety of audiences.
Demonstrated portfolio of complex productions across varying scale, format, and audience types.
Proven expertise in multi-camera broadcast, live talk shows, and hybrid events.
Production agency experience strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Work Environment:
This role routinely requires using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
This position may require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be able to operate various electronic devices.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time, exempt position. This role is designated as Hybrid - CA. Hybrid is defined as a combination of remote and in office / on-site work in the Greater San Francisco Area. You are expected to work in person at our client’s office in Sunnyvale, CA a few days a week. When there is no onsite work, this role will be expected to work from a remote location. The office generally operates from 9am-5pm, but days and hours of this position may vary week-to-week. A willingness to work varying schedules including weekends, nights, holidays, long shifts (10+ hours), and/or travel as needed is required for productions. Work location may vary due to Covid protocols and safety. Mighty Media’s workplace policies are subject to change at any time based on business necessity and manager discretion.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $120k - $130k annually. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
