Jeff Purcell

When he was playing Aussie Rules Football, Jeff went to his team doc and said: “It hurts when I touch my arm, my chest or my leg”. The doc said: “You’ve broken your finger”.

Jeff, a.k.a. J.P., is an award-winning producer with a long history of creating stellar video and multimedia content for CBS, NBC, Microsoft, Amazon and others. He was raised in the tiny town of Kenwood, California, which is home to zero stop lights, a dozen or so of California's finest wineries and world championship pillow fighting (no joke).

While attending Arizona State University, J.P. developed a passion for film and video production, so he studied up, snatched his degree and slid West down I-10 to Los Angeles to make his mark on the film and television industry. In L.A. he built his video production and storytelling chops working on The Late Late Show, Survivor and The Apprentice, among others.

Following a move to Seattle, J.P. landed a spot at Microsoft creating a broad range of entertainment-related content for MSN.com. After eight years at Microsoft, another few at Amazon and some time as a stay-at-home parent, he joined Mighty as a People Manager to pursue his aspiration to help people continuously grow and improve. And in the spirit of continuous growth, J.P. recently earned a Master of Strategic Communication degree from Washington State University. It's never too late!

P.S. Ask J.P. about Aussie Rules football, but only if you have at least 30 minutes to spare.
